We give to grow.
God is generous. When we give, we become more like Him.
Generosity and stewardship are the natural response to God’s amazing generosity in our lives and our trust in Him to provide for us.
Teach those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 1 Timothy 6:17
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Mt 6:19–21.

Vertical Life Church is led by Pastor Jeremy Robertson and guided and protected by a board of Elders. The Elders provide oversight on the spiritual health and direction of the church along with accountability for Pastor Jeremy.
We have a team of non-paid Overseers outside of our church who provide guidance, accountability, and relationship.
-
Our board meets monthly to review the health of the church, as well as financial decisions, capital expenditure and expenses. All decisions are discussed and voted on by the board.

The budget is set in alignment with the vision of Pastor Jeremy and the board in order to reach more people for Christ and grow the church. The budget is set annually and based on the needs of each location, department and team. The budget is based on 90% of previous year tithes and offering.
-
Tithes and offerings are deposited into our bank account at Truist. This account is used for all general expenses of the church. We also have a savings account at CDF Capital and Treasury Bonds that are set aside for our building project. All staff are accountable for their spending and required to submit receipts and explanation of each purchase.
-
We set staff wages by referencing salary guides from churchsalary.com. Wages for Pastor Jeremy are set by an independent compensation committee and wages for each staff member are set by Pastor Jeremy and the Pastor of Growth and Operations and reviewed annually. All wages are reviewed annually.
